Please help Socio-Economic And Environmental Development Solutions(SEEDS) win $10,000.00 to purchase a vehicle, build a solar grey water system, solar bore hole pump and a solar cold cellar so we can provide more rural villagers with life saving non GMO vegetable seeds to feed their malnourished families.
Photo credit, #NEWSDIGEST (African News) – Zambia’s Kariba dam has recorded its lowest water levels and the Zambezi River Authority (ZRA) released its latest statistics indicating that the country’s main source of hydro-electricity power was now at 17 percent compared to the 32 percent during the same period in 2015. As a severe drought magnified by climate change has cut water levels to record lows, the Kariba is generating so little juice that blackouts have crippled the nation’s already hurting businesses.
There are pockets in the flood plain of the Zambezi river that will provide access to water for gardens, but they are remote and hard to access. If we had a vehicle we could provide vegetable seeds with which they could feed their families and then save new seed from that growth for future use.

The government usually sponsors rural families by providing seed but they are struggling financially due to lack of water for their hydro production.
The balance of the winnings would be used to install solar so we may power our bore hole pump and not have to rely on the almost non existent hydro power this year.
