My Mom is 87 years old and I really don’t know what to buy her!
Can you imagine the smile on your Mother’s face when you tell her you have planted a Baobab Tree in Zambia for her for Mother’s Day!
I bet she would love it!
The iconic Baobab tree is dying off in Africa. We at SEEDS were able to purchase 7500 Baobab seeds and want to replant them all across Zambia, Africa and we need your help.
We want to plant them from the most western part of the country, right across to the most eastern part of the country.
When we started Socio-Economic and Environmental Development Solutions (SEEDS) we sent non GMO vegetable & fruit tree seeds to one location for people to grow their own food. Now, 6 years later we are sending to 6 locations. Kalabo, Mongu, Sioma, Kaoma, Katete and Chipata.
We have sent over 4.8 million seeds and are giving seeds to over 500 families to grow food.
We have the manpower to plant the Baobab trees in the surrounding areas of these 6 cities but we need to be able to purchase the black bags (see picture below) to plant them in and transport them from Mongu.
It will cost approximately 15 CAD per tree and you may send SEEDS and e-transfer to joanne@sendseedstoafrica.org or we accept debit and credit cards at SEEDS Garage Sales Store, 1 Browning Ave., Toronto, M4K 1V7.
The beautiful part is that Elephants love the fruit that Baobab produce so we would be feeding them too!
Thanks again for reading our blog and donate if you can!
Happy Mother’s Day to all of those Mom’s who have made us who we are today!
