Well, I was all packed last Sunday March 23, 2014, I have my clothes ready for tomorrow March 29, 2014 and I hope I can sleep tonight!

When I deliver this 24lbs of vegetable seeds I will have sent 3,445,785 seeds to Zambia. Each bag is with a binder of “How to Grow”, ( as they don’t have computers) all of the vegetable seeds I am taking with me. By the time this trip is over I will have given seeds to 5 people in 5 cities in Zambia Africa and thank you to all that have helped me!

I have packed 137 clear plastic milk bags and 141 unused utility envelopes donated by the many people saving these for me. That means that SEEDS will be able to hand out 14,100 vegetable seeds ( 100 per envelope) and have returned to us as interest seed, 3,375 fallen tree seeds ( 25 per plastic milk bag).

That is a lot of potential food planted for people, trees planted for the environment and trees for food for Elephants.

As you can see from the pictures I was fortunate enough to get samples of Advil and children’s Advil, Dove soaps, hand cream, vitamins, etc. to take with me. Medications are very expensive and hard to come by in remote areas, even items as common to us as Advil and soap.

The wonderful manager at Staples in Gerard Square donated pens, ,markers, erasers, stickies and writing pads for me to take as well.

Doreen, my husband’s lovely aunt, donated mens and ladys T-shirts, stuffed animals and play dough and I went to Good will, luckily on a 50% off day and got 6 pairs of shorts for my boys for $2.00 each.

So I guess I will sign off now and try to sleep.

I am looking forward to bringing you all the news from Zambia and how things went.
