We are traveling to Mongu Zambia again from August 1st-21st and will be teaching the local residents how to can vegetables.
It is often the case that appropriate weather will produce good crops but they do not always make it to market or if they do get to market they are not all sold.
In order to provide healthy, safe foods that will last until the next harvest, SEEDS hopes to build a cold Cellar that will maintain temperatures between 10 and 21 degrees Celsius, to keep the canned goods for at least 6 months.
The University of Toronto, first year engineering students developed a plan to build a cold cellar in the Kalahari Dessert.
