We all know what it is like when we meet a genuinely nice person person! Ebrahim is one of those people.
I met Ebrahim four years ago when I needed new eye glasses. When you speak with Ebrahim he is modest, patient and caring. He is not pushy or, like some, just out to make a buck.
Ebrahim was the first person I met who made me feel that SEEDS was a worthy cause. When we were just starting out, he was the first person whom I didn’t really know who donated to SEEDS.
East York Vision Centre was in Zellers at the East York Town Centre for six years and when Zellers closed, he had to relocate or move to the basement to continue providing care to his clients. Ebrahim has now been in the basement for four years and the building management won’t even allow him to put a sign at the stairs leading to the basement level.
Ebrahim is an optician who works hard and just called me to say he had saved another $155.00 for SEEDS. His first donation four years ago was $20.00 and he has donated many pairs of reading glasses that I send to Zambia when I send the vegetable seeds every three months.
I want to Thank Ebrahim for his great work providing excellent eye glasses, at reasonable prices, and for being who he is.
There are many who could learn a lot from Ebrahim!
