I have 3 whole orange pumpkins and one white pumpkin that I collected on garbage day so if you would like to help on Giving Tuesday, Nov.29th I would love if you could come over and help me take the seeds out of them. joanne@sendseedstoafrica.org.
White pumpkins are orange inside and not GMO so the seeds are safe to send to Zambia.
Pumpkins like cooler weather so I will send them to Zambia in March 2017 so they will be planted in the dry cooler season. The people even eat the leaves as well.
I sent 13 lbs of fruit and vegetable seeds via DHL on Wednesday No.23rd so they should arrive in Zambia on Giving Tuesday. Tomorrow. Nov.29th.
We have now sent over 4.4 million fruit and vegetable seeds to 5 areas in Zambia.
We need to get our managers motor bike fixed so he can take the seeds further distances and to the Save a Life Centre in Lewanika Hospital to give seeds to malnourished Mom’s who bring in their malnourished children. http://zam.co.za/projects/save-a-life-centre/. This will give them hope that they can do some thing for their families at home. If they can’t afford to buy food for their children, they definitely can’t afford to buy seeds to grow food and this last years drought has made things even worse. Let’s give them a hand up!
Happy Giving Tuesday!
