In April 2014 our Manager Fredrick, Assistant Manager Matindo and I went looking in the outskirts of Mungu for poles to build our Tree Nursery beside our Resource Garden.
Building the Tree Nursery
We stopped at this village where people cut down trees and hide them in the bush until they get a prospective buyer. We were waiting on the side of the road for a single Mom to go into the bush and carry out the poles she had hidden. Of course the kids were curious about the truck so they gathered around. I asked them if they could sing me a song and this is what they sang! I hope to take this video one day to show them.
It is basically saying” At the school we used to go to, we learned how to read. A.E.I.O.U., we know how to read”
